Citroen C5 Aircross To Cost More From January 2022

The Citroen C5 Aircross will become more expensive from January 2022 both variants of the SUV - Feel and Shine will receive a price hike of 3 per cent on its ex-showroom value. The company has cited continued rise in the cost of commodities & ocean freight costs as the reason that has necessitated this price increase of the vehicle. In fact, the Citroen C5 has received a price hike for the second month in a row. The French carmaker silently made an upward revision in the prices of the mid-size SUV by up to Rs. 1.40 lakh.

The Citroen C5 Aircross is offered only with the 2.0-litre diesel engine in India.
That said, the company is also offering benefits on the C5 Aircross in December in a bid to liquidate its existing stock. Benefits include insurance at just Rs.1, Complimentary Smart Care package and EMI options starting from Rs 33,333 per month. These new benefits offered in December will be in addition to the existing Citroen 360-degree comfort benefits like the 30-min Guaranteed Trade-in and Citroen Service Promise which includes 180-minute road side assistance guarantee, complimentary pick up & drop for periodic maintenance, complimentary service on wheels and virtual remote diagnosis. Citroen is also offering one-year complimentary repair for minor paint chipping and/or scratches on external metal body panels.

The SUV gets four single tone shades - Pearl White, Cumulus Grey, Tijuca Blue, and Perla Nera Black.
The Citroen C5 Aircross is being offered in India as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kit and is locally assembled at the carmaker's facility in Tamil Nadu. The SUV comes with a signature-style grille, LED vision projector headlamps with LED DRLs, front fog lamps, dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED side indicators, rear fog lamps, wraparound LED taillights, 12.3 Inch TFT instrument display, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, six airbags, ESP, Hill Descent Control, Hill Start Assist, Traction Control, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), park assist, front and rear parking sensors, reverse camera and electric parking brake among others. The SUV is being offered in India with a single powertrain option, which is a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The unit is tuned to develop 175 bhp of maximum power against the peak torque of 400 Nm. Transmission duties are handled by an 8-speed automatic transmission sending power to the front wheels.
