Datsun Go Facelift With CVT Spied In Indonesia

- The Datsun Go facelift gets a few updates to the looks
- The Go facelift with CVT will be launched in Indonesia in the near future
- There is no confirmation whether Datsun will launch the Go CVT in India
Datsun did not have the brightest of starts, when it came to India and in its 4 years of operations, the company did not quite catch the fancy of the buyers. But Datsun might seek to change that! How, you would ask? Well, spyshots of the Datsun Go Facelift have emerged along with the fact that the test mule has a CVT automatic transmission unit. Of course, the car was spotted in Indonesia and Datsun is said to be launching the updated Go there in the next few months. The Go Facelift gets a fresher, nicer face with a new grille, new headlamps and new housing for fog lamps/LEDs as well. Also, the front and rear bumper get subtle redesign as well.
(Datsun Go Facelift with CVT)The test mule in these pictures though wears a body kit which includes plastic side skirts running along the profile of the car, a big spoiler at the rear and more muscular bumpers at the front and rear. The thing to be noticed is the 'CVT' badge at the rear. Reports suggest that apart from the optional CVT, the technical specifications of the Datsun Go Facelift remain the same. It will continue to get a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine which makes 67 bhp of max power and 104 Nm of peak torque.

Some of the interior bits could be borrowed from the Go Cross as well. With automatic transmission units finally finding favour among Indian buyers, we think it will be a great idea to introduce the Datsun Go CVT in India as well. Although, there is no such indication from Datsun India at the moment!
