Sukesh Chandrasekhar's Illegally Acquired Fleet Of Luxury Cars

One of most commonly referred names in Tamil Nadu politics in recent times is Sukesh Chandrasekhar who allegedly acted as a middleman for Sasikala's nephew T.T.V. Dinakaran in bribing the Election Commission of India (ECI). Apparently, Chandrasekhar allegedly helped AIADMK deputy general secretary Dinakaran to bribe the ECI officials to secure the frozen two leaves symbol. Incidentally, when Chandrasekhar was apprehended in Delhi in April, the police said it had taken from him Rs. 1.5 crore in cash along with a BMW and a Mercedes that he had bought illegally and was using while in the capital.
Now tax officials have taken over about 10 luxury cars, which also include an exotic fleet in Kochi, Kerala that comprises - Lamborghini Gallardo, Jaguar F-Type, Rolls-Royce Phantom, Mercedes-Benz S-Class and a BMW 7 Series among others.
Rolls-Royce Phantom
The Rolls-Royce Phantom is the flagship car from the British manufacturer and there are only select few who own this car in India. Chandrasekhar's Rolls-Royce Phantom is the previous generation model in clean white colour with chrome alloys wheels. The Phantom is powered by the company's 6.75-litre V12 motor that develops 453bhp and 720Nm of turning power. It also gets an electronically-governed top-speed of 240Km/h.

Lamborghini Murcielago
The Lamborghini Murcielago is one of the most popular cars from the Italian carmaker and there are several enthusiasts who have bought this car in India. That said, all of Chandrasekhar's cars were bought using black or undeclared and un-taxed money. As for the car itself, the Murcielago used the might 6.5-litre V12 hand-made engine that churned out 572 bhp and 649 Nm of peak torque. The engine was mated to a 6-speed manual and an optional automatic transmission. Lamborghini discontinued the Murcielago in 2010 and the automaker's flagship was replaced by the equally menacing Aventador.

Jaguar XK Coupe
The Jaguar XK Coupe is one of the most popular offerings from the British carmaker. The car owned by Chandrasekhar is a red hardtop unit with sporty Venus 18-inch alloy wheels. The sports coupe is powered by 5-litre V8 petrol supercharged engine that makes over 500 bhp and develops 625 Nm of torque. The XK was the predecessor to the Jaguar F-Type, which has now become an icon among sports coupes.

BMW 7 Series
The BMW 7 Series was one of the two cars that were seized by the income tax officials in Delhi when Chandrasekhar was arrested. While the car received a generation upgrade in India a couple of years back, the model used by him is the older generation model. The car appears to be the 730Li that is powered by a V12 engine that makes about 443 bhp and 650 Nm of peak torque. This one was registered in Haryana and was black in colour.

(The BMW 7 Series was also a part of Chandrasekhar's fleet)
Mercedes-Benz S-Class
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class was also one of the cars that were seized in Delhi and this one was registered in Rajasthan. The S-Class is the S350 model that comes with the 3-litre V6 engine that makes 255 bhp and 620 Nm of peak torque. It's the flagship sedan from the carmaker in India.
