- The Genesis GV80 wears the famed white and green livery
- The GV80 joins the likes of the Veyron, One-77, Mustang, i8 and more
The Dubai Police is known for having some of the swankiest cars from across the world in its fleet. In fact, the absolutely enviable line-up can put even some of the avid car collectors to shame. So, seeing Dubai Police roll out in a Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW, or even a Bugatti is actually quite common. And now, the department has added a new patrol vehicle to its fleet - the Genesis GV80 petrol SUV. While it may not be ostentatious as some of the other cars in the garage, it's still very much luxurious.

Genesis is the luxury arm of South Korean automaker Hyundai, and the GV80 joined the brand's stable last year. The luxury SUV is now a part of the Dubai Police General Command and comes wrapped in the signature white and green colours.

The Genesis GV80 is offered with 2 engine options - 2.5-litre petrol with 300 bhp or a 3.5-litre V6 with 375 bhp
Speaking on the inclusion of the Genesis GV80 to the Dubai Police fleet, Suliman ALZaben, director of Genesis UAE, said, "We take pride in partnering with Dubai Police in various initiatives that aim at spreading awareness among all segments of society on traffic safety. We hope that the high-tech Genesis GV80 contributes to facilitate Dubai Police's operations and provide various services to the public."
Power on the Genesis GV80 comes from either a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that develops 300 bhp or a 3.5-litre V6 that belts out 375 bhp. While the GV80 may not be as powerful as some of the cars there, it definitely will keep the officials comfortable during patrolling.
