Ford Mustang GT Facelift Now Offered With Performance Pack Globally

- The 2018 Mustang hasn't come to India yet
- The Level 2 Performance Pack offers a host of upgrades
- The 2018 Ford Mustang looks more aggressive than the previous model
Ford will be offering a Level 2 performance pack on its Mustang GT Facelift models internationally. We say internationally because Ford is still selling the pre-facelift model in India. That said, the 2018 Mustang GT will now get additional features in order to make it look even more appealing and menacing. The idea is to bridge the gap between the GT 350 and the Mustang GT with the Level 1 performance pack. The Level 2 performance pack includes a chassis, anti-lock brakes, stability control and an electric power steering which have been uniquely tuned to offer even more performance. The Level 2 performance pack also offers six-piston Brembo brake callipers, a bigger radiator, a new strut-tower brace and a Torsen rear differential.
(2018 Ford Mustang with Level 2 Performance Pack)Up next is the custom tuned MagneRide suspension, a rear stabiliser bar which is 67 per cent stiffer than a Mustang GT with Level 1 performance pack. The front stabiliser bar is 12 per cent stiffer, the front springs are 20 per cent stiffer and the rear springs are 13 per cent stiffer than the Level 1 performance pack. The car is shod with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Tyres which are 19x10.5 inch tyres up front and 19x11 inch tyres at the rear. The tyres are 1.5 inches wider than those on the Level 1 performance pack and the ground clearance has been lowered by half an inch as well.
(2018 Ford Mustang with Level 2 Performance Pack)Another update is the new front splitter which created 11 kg worth of down-force at a speed of 128 kmph. The Level 2 performance pack is available only on Mustang GT with a manual transmission. Customers car also specify Recaro racing seats on their Mustang GT with Level 2 performance pack.
India is yet to get the 2018 Mustang GT facelift and whenever it does, it is unsure whether Ford will offer the Level 1 and Level 2 Performance packs in the country.
