Hero Dash 110cc Scooter Launching Soon; Production Begins

First showcased at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, Hero Motorcorp's new 110cc scooter - the Dash - will be launched by mid 2015. In fact, according to a report published in Autocar Professional, the company has begun the production of the vehicle at its Gurgaon-based plant.
Powering the Hero Dash will be a new four-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder 111cc petrol motor that, mated to a CVT gearbox, churns out 8.5bhp and 9.4Nm. The new 110cc scooter weighs 110 Kgs and comes with 155mm of ground clearance and a fuel tank with a capacity of 6-litres.
Talking about the features, the Hero Dash will get several exciting ones such as a USB mobile charger, service due indicator, boot light, LED tail-lamps, key with e-code, boot lid, under seat storage lamp, analogue digital meter and dual tone mirrors. At the time of its unveiling, the company had also revealed that the Dash will have an all new metal body and alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.
The Dash will be Hero's scond scooter in the 110cc segment after the Maestro. Both of these scooters will take on the Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter, Suzuki Lets, Mahindra Gusto, Yamaha Ray and others in the segment. After the Dash, Hero will launch yet another scooter - the Zir - which will enter the 150cc segment.
