Honda Teases Production Ready City Adventure Scooter

- The production version keeps the details from the concept intact
- The scooter is equipped with spoked wheels & dual-sport tyres, LED lights
- The ADV scooter will go on sale in Europe and possibly North America
The more comprehensive teaser of Honda's adventure scooter gives a glimpse of the production ready model and it looks like the scooter can take a beating or two off tarmac. Compared to the concept, the production version does not stray too far in appearance, which is something we really like and comes equipped with a long traveling front suspension, spoked wheels as well as dual sport tyres.
You can also get dual LED headlights with DRLs, LED tail light, full digital instrument console, rider assist systems and standard safety tech. Features like ride-by-wire, multiple riding modes, adjustable seats, and much more will also make it to the scooter. Power will most likely come to come from a 750cc parallel-twin Integra engine expected it produce around 55hp of power. A relatively larger fuel tank will also ensure that you don't have to head to fuel pump too often.

Honda X-ADV Scooter Concept
To be introduced in Europe and most likely North America as well. Honda is hoping that its City Adventure scooter will work in places where gravel and dirt roads are part of the local commute. In Indian context, there is a very slim chance that the adventure scooter will ever make it our country anytime soon. Nevertheless, we are getting the Africa Twin next year with the DCT automatic gearbox.

Going by the teaser, the scooter certainly looks capable of handling much more than irrespective of the terrain. Things also look interesting once you factor in that this is a bold new offering from Honda and might just kick start a new segment altogether. Then, there is also the question of who would buy an adventure scooter, especially with no scarcity of its motorcycle counterparts in the middle-weight segment. Nevertheless, the Honda City Adventure scooter does make for an exciting offering, and keeps us intrigued for the next part of the video teaser series.
