Honda to Launch 2 New Motorcycles in Second Quarter

At its 13th Annual Business Meet, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) announced its aggressive business plan for the Year 2014-15. This was the first time HMSI business meet was held in Honda's home country Japan. The company made some really important announcements at the meet including plans for network expansion, new launches and new sales target for the year.
The company said that the FY 2013-14 has been the most successful year since inception, and announced to 'Raise the Bar once again' this year. The company plans to launch two new motorcycles in second quarter this year, announced Honda. While the first motorcycle will be latest addition to Dream Series, the second will be a new 160cc high displacement motorcycle for youngsters.
For this year, Honda has set the target of 45 lakh unit sales. "I am confident that propelled by 3 new launches including the Activa 125 and aggressive network expansion, Honda will meet expectations of its valued customers in India.", said Mr. Keita Muramatsu, President CEO, HMSI.
Mr. Y. S Guleria, Vice President - Sales & Marketing, HMSI said that Honda will add 1000 new touch-points to its network, which means 3 outlets each day. The company will also double its network in just 2 years from 1950 outlets in FY'2012-13 to 3800 outlets by the end of this financial year.
