Hyundai Grand i10 Hits the Magic Number; LPG Version Also on Offer

Buoyed by the success of the petrol and diesel versions of the Grand i10, Hyundai India has now silently launched the LPG version of the car. Available only in the Magna trim, the Grand i10 LPG gets all the features offered on the regular Manga trim. In terms of the LPG variant's tech specs, the 1.2-litre petrol mill has been replaced by the smaller 1.0-litre petrol unit of the i10. The engine is good for a maximum power output of 68bhp and 94Nm of peak torque. With a small petrol engine and LPG option, the running costs ought to go down as well.
The LPG variant of the hatchback is priced at Rs 4.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and has a claimed mileage figure of 20.3Km/l.
In other news, Hyundai recently set a record by delivering 1 lakh units of the Grand i10 hatchback within 10 months of the car's launch - the fastest any car in India has managed to achieve that figure yet. The car had previously achieved a milestone in the automotive industry by becoming one of the five highest selling models in India within the second month of its launch.
Speaking on the achievement, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Senior VP, Marketing and Sales, HMIL said, "We appreciate and thank our customers for showing strong confidence in brand Hyundai and making Grand a huge success in India. Grand has created a benchmark in quality, features and technology offering higher value proposition in such a short span of time- fastest in the industry. Reaching the milestone of 100,000 happy families of Hyundai Grand is a great achievement for us and we are very delighted. We would like to thank our valued customers and channel partners for their support. Hyundai reaffirms its commitment to the customer and will continue to bring world-class products to the Indian market. To meet the increase in demand we are continuously working to increase the production capacity."
