The Grand i10 Nios is the third-generation hatchback in the Hyundai's i10 family that is currently on sale in the country. The hatchback is priced in between Rs. 5.23 lakh to Rs. 8.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The car is available in two petrol and one diesel engine options to choose from. It includes a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol, a 1.0-litre GDi petrol, and a 1.2-litre U2 CRDi diesel. The car is also available as a CNG model, which is offered on 1.2-litre Kappa petrol. Maruti Suzuki Swift

The Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the most popular hatchbacks in the country. The mid-life facelift of the hatchback was launched earlier this year. The car is priced in between Rs. 5.81 lakh to Rs. 8.42 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 2021 Swift now comes with few visual updates and the addition of a dual-tone colour option. It's a petrol-only model, which is powered by a new-generation Dual Jet VVT unit.
Ford Figo

The Ford Figo is another popular option to consider if you are looking to purchase a hatchback. The car is available in both petrol and diesel versions. It includes a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine option. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional 6-speed automatic torque converter. Tata Altroz

The Altroz is a premium hatchback, which is a direct rival to the Hyundai i20. However, considering the pricing of the car, it also rivals the Grand i10 Nios. The premium car comes in both petrol and diesel choices. It includes a 1.2-litre 83 bhp Revotron petrol, a 1.2-litre 108 bhp turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre 98 bhp Revotorq diesel. The car is priced between Rs. 5.75 lakh and Rs. 9.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Volkswagen Polo

The Volkswagen Polo is one of the best options to consider if you are looking for a car that offers great drivability and performance. The Polo is available with a 1.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine. The motor comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox and an optional 6-speed automatic torque converter unit. Renault Triber

The Renault Triber is not a direct rival to the Grand i10 Nios. However, it is still a feasible option to consider if you are looking to purchase a compact hatchback.
