Hyundai Forms Relief Task Force To Support Customers Affected By Heavy Rainfall In Mumbai

- Special service team to assist Hyundai customers in Mumbai
- 50% discount on insurance claims of flood affected vehicles
- Complimentary roadside assistance for affected vehicles for one year
Hyundai Motor India has formed a 'Relief Task Force' to support customer vehicles affected by heavy rainfall and waterlogging in Mumbai. As a part of this initiative, the South Korean carmaker has announced complimentary roadside assistance (RSA) for affected vehicles for one year. The carmaker will also provide a 50 per cent discount on depreciation amount on insurance claims of affected vehicles. Furthermore, the company activated a toll-free helpline number - 18001024645 for customers seeking assistance for their affected Hyundai vehicle.

Commenting on the initiative, Tarun Garg, Director (Sales, Marketing & Service) said, "Hyundai is a socially responsible and customer centric organisation that is committed to make efforts for the betterment of society and communities. The safety and well-being of customers is our utmost priority. Recently, Mumbai has witnessed an unfortunate event of heavy rainfall and waterlogging. To combat this situation, we have ramped-up our service support by forming a special task force to assist Hyundai customers in Mumbai to ensure their seamless mobility and peace of mind."

The Korean carmaker had announced similar relief initiatives in the past under its Hyundai Cares 3.0 relief initiative to support the customers for hassle-free and peace of mind experience. In May 2021, the carmaker offered such initiatives for its customers affected by Yaas Cyclone. The company had deployed a dedicated Roadside Assistance service team to support the customers, which will be free of cost. The carmaker also offered a 50 per cent discount on the depreciation amount of insurance claims for cyclone-affected vehicles.
