Hyundai Palisade Facelift Teased Ahead Of April 13 Debut

- Teasers suggest Palisade to get a flatter front fascia
- New grille is taller and wider than outgoing model
- Reveal on April 13
Hyundai has released a set of teasers previewing the updated Palisade ahead of its global debut on April 13 at the 2022 New York Auto Show. The teasers reveal some of the design updates to Hyundai big three-row SUV including an upright nose with an even larger grille and new light clusters. Compared to the current model that was revealed in late 2018, the updated SUV seems to get a more upright nose along with design touches in-line with the company's latest design language.
Hyundai has released two teasers so far showcasing part of the SUV's nose and the front fender. The nose looks more upright than the outgoing model. The bonnet too appears to be new with prominent creases extending backward from the grille. The grille itself is larger and more rectangular and seems to be an adaptation of Hyundai's new parametric grille with individual block like detailing. Two wing like extensions flow out of the grille along the top towards the DRLs.

Teasers suggest the Palisade facelift will get a flatter more upright nose.
The DRLs themselves have a similar shape as on the outgoing SUV though seem to be placed further outward and broken into three sections. The main headlamp units likely sit in in the housing on the bumper – a design seen on most new Hyundai SUVs. Overall, the Palisade is likely to get a more upright look from the front as compared to the current model.

The image of the fender reveals prominent wheel arches filled out by large multi-spoke alloy wheels.
No other changes are visible through the teasers though one can expect Hyundai to make updates to the design at the rear and within the cabin. The basic shape and sides of the SUV are expected to remain relatively unchanged.
Hyundai, a few years back, was considering the Palisade for India though it remains to be seen if the SUV will eventually make it to India.
