Importance Of Airbags While Buying A Car

Importance of airbags while buying a car
Airbags are a standard safety feature in cars all over the world. Their purpose is to help car passenger reduce their speed in the event of a collision without being injured. The airbag has limited time to deploy when the car collides with the obstacle in front of it, and the passenger collides with the steering wheel.

How do airbags work?
When a crash occurs, the electronic unit of the car sends a signal to the airbag to inflate the airbag. As a result, a chemical reaction starts in the car, resulting in the airbag inflating within 1/20th of a second. The speed is critical to ensure the safety of the passengers.

Causes of airbag deployment
Every collision in which an airbag can help prevent injury should have one deployment. Its primary purpose is to prevent injuries to the head, neck, and chest that would otherwise occur without the device. If you have an accident and hit your head on the steering wheel, a frontal airbag should deploy.
Airbags are designed to deploy after a specific speed limit is exceeded during an impact because the severity of a crash is determined by the vehicle's speed and impact of the crash. Airbags should be deployed in moderate to severe collisions involving your vehicle's front bumper or corners.

Airbags usage in India.
Airbag usage in India was relatively low due to price-sensitive buyers and a general lack of awareness. In India, airbags range in price from 6,000 to 20,000 rupees.
As per the regulations, airbags are mandatory for the front passenger and the driver in India. As of January 2022, the government has made it mandatory to install 6 airbags in each passenger car with a passenger limit of up to 8. This step will greatly enhance the adoption of airbags in India.
The possibility of increased demand for airbags
Our government is eager to improve the safety standards of automobiles sold in India, which will result in a boom in the airbag industry as a result of these recent developments. The recent steps by the government of India are in the right direction to ensure the safety of passengers in the country.
