Jaguar F-Pace Officially Arrives In India; Prices Start At 68.40 Lakh

- Prices for the Jaguar F-Pace start at Rs. 68.40 lakh in the country
- The Jaguar F-Pace is available with 2 diesel engine options
- Jaguar will officially launch the F-Pace on October 20, 2016
After announcing the prices of its all-new Jaguar F-Pace SUV a couple of weeks back, Jaguar Land Rover India today officially launched the car in India, here in Mumbai with a special event. Available in four variants - Pure, Prestige, R-Sport, and First Edition, prices of the new Jaguar F-Pace starts at Rs. 68.40 lakh going right up to Rs. 1.12 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).
(Jaguar F-Pace)Like most of the Jaguar Land Rover events we have witnessed this year, JLR India has left no stone unturned to ensure that the launch of the new F-Pace becomes a memorable one. The biggest highlight of the launch event was the 60-foot replica constructed of the 'Shard', the tallest building in London, in Mumbai, especially for the launch.

Jaguar F-Pace Launch Event
Inside, the F-Pace comes with a well-laid out cabin with premium quality material and impressive design layout. The centre of the dashboard houses a tablet-like touchscreen infotainment system with swipe and pinch action and it comes with navigation as well. The F-Pace has 10 options for ambient lighting, but this too turns red when you switch to dynamic mode! There is no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto though. The 650-litre boot is a 100 litres+ more generous than a Q5 or X3. Fold down the 40:20:40 seats and you get a massive 1740 litres.

We drove the Jaguar F-Pace in Montenegro and were mightily impressed with its performance and its stunning looks. Mechanically, as revealed earlier, there'll be two diesel engines on offer from the carmaker's new Ingenium family. The first one is a 2.0-litre diesel motor which churns out 180bhp and develops 430Nm of peak torque. Jaguar claims that this version will do the 0-100 km/h sprint in 8.7 seconds and have a top speed of over 200 km/h. As for the second one, it will be a more powerful 3.0-litre V6 oil burner that will belt out a meaty 300bhp and 700Nm of torque. The claimed 0-100 km/h sprint time is an impressive 6.2 seconds with a top speed of 241 km/h. Both the engines will come mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and AWD as well. Additionally, Jaguar India will also bring in a 2.0-litre petrol Ingenium engine that will produce 240bhp, but that will come next year, in February 2017.
