Jaguar I-Pace Updated With Amazon Alexa Connectivity; To Be Introduced Across JLR Range

- The Jagaur I-Pace has been updated with Amazon Alexa connectivity.

- Exisiting I-Pace owners can get Alexa Voice Assistance through OTA update
Jaguar Land Rover has updated the Pivi Pro multimedia system with Amazon Alexa connectivity options. The Jaguar I-Pace electric SUV is the first model to offer the Alexa functionality while it will be soon available in all models that are offered with the Pivi Pro infotainment system. The Amazon voice assistant will allow interaction with the vehicle's functions through voice assistance. This includes navigation, phone call management and audio playback among others. So just with the 'Alexa' command you can get it activated and say the command.

Alexa will also be able to share vehicle related information as well like charging status, range left or unlocked doors through voice commands.
Alex Heslop, Director of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Jaguar Land Rover, said, "The seamless integration of Amazon Alexa with our Pivi Pro infotainment system gives customers simple, intuitive voice control of regularly used features, making the driving experience even more enjoyable. The fact we can also offer this new feature to existing customers proves the value of our software-over-the-air-updates."

General Alexa functions like weather-related updates and news headlines among others will be available as well.
Now Alexa will also be able to share vehicle related information as well like charging status, range left or unlocked doors through voice commands. And of course, general Alexa functions like weather-related updates and news headlines among others will be available as well. Existing Jaguar I-Pace owners too will be able to update their EV with the Alexa functionality through over-the-air (OTA) updates. The I-Pace owners will be notified via a message displayed in their vehicle's touchscreen to enable the new feature.

The Alexa feature will be soon available in all models that are offered with the Pivi Pro infotainment system.
Jaguar Land Rover is also offering a new exterior colour options - Ostuni White with metallic finish and the 'Premium Black Pack' package. The Black Edition of the I-Pace includes 22-inch gloss black wheels, rear spoiler and electronically controlled air suspension.
