- The company has sold 200 units of the Urus in India.
- Urus facelift is expected later this year or by early 2023.
Automobili Lamborghini has achieved a new sales milestone in India by selling 200 units of its super-luxury SUV - the Lamborghini Urus. Currently the most affordable Lamborghini model in India, the Urus was launched in January 2018, and the first car was delivered the same year in September. Within one year, the company managed to sell 50 units of the car in India, and despite the coronavirus pandemic the Italian marque managed to sell the next 50 units in less than 18 months. In fact, before the pandemic, the company was delivering one Urus every week, which is huge for a car in this uber-luxury segment.
The Lamborghini Urus has helped the company not only expand its customer base but also in growing its geographical reach.

Speaking to carandbike about achieving the new milestone, Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India said, “We have delivered the 200th Urus in India and that's a big achievement for the brand. We launched the car in 2018 and delivered the first unit in September of the same year. We are extremely proud that we achieved this landmark milestone within four years of launching the car in India.”

He added, “When we launched the Urus, we knew this was going to be a gamechanger for our business in India, and the success we've had with the car in the past four years is a testimony to that. It not only helped us grow the business but also helped expand our customer base as well as help us grow geographically.”

Two special editions of Urus also helped the company reach a significant milestone. These include the Lamborghini Urus Graphite Capsule Edition and the Lamborghini Urus Pearl Capsule Edition, both contributing to around 20 per cent of the total Urus sales in the country. The Urus Pearl Capsule Edition is a preconfigured package that adds additional cosmetic upgrades for a completely new look including vibrant colours, gloss finishing, new alloy wheels, new materials, and upholstery options. The Urus Graphite Capsule Edition, on the other hand, takes the personalisation level higher by bringing dual-tone colour schemes to the exterior and interior.
