Launched: Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG at Rs 68.5 lakh
Mercedes-Benz India has been on a launching spree of late, and the latest to join the company's line-up is the highly anticipated CLA 45 AMG. Priced at Rs 68.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), it is now the most affordable AMG vehicle in India.
The CLA 45 AMG is the performance-oriented version of the company's sub-compact sedan - the CLA-Class, which will arrive in India by early 2015.
What makes the CLA 45 AMG a special vehicle is the fact that it features the world's most powerful production 4-cylinder engine - the 2.0-litre direct-injection turbocharged mill that develops a whooping 355bhp and 450Nm of torque. The engine helps the car touch 100Km/h from standstill in a mere 4.6 seconds, with a top-speed of 250Km/h.

Transmitting power to all four wheels of the vehicle is a 7-speed AMG Speedshift gearbox via Mercedes' 4MATIC drivetrain system. Key features offered on the CLA 45 AMG include nine airbags, adaptive brake with hold function and attention assist, and Apple iPhone supported display with TFT technology among others.
As mentioned before, the regular CLA-Class is expected to be launched here by early 2015, and will be pitted against the Audi A3 sedan - Audi's soon-to-be most affordable car in India.
