Limited Run Polestar 2 BST Edition 270 Revealed

- BST Edition develops 469 bhp and 680 Nm
- Sits 25 mm lower to the ground and gets new adjustable Ohlins dampers
- Limited to just 270 units
Standalone EV brand Polestar has revealed a new limited-run performance variant of the 2. Called the Polestar 2 BST Edition 270, the performance model develops the same amount of power as the standard all-wheel-drive Polestar 2 long-range but gets a bespoke suspension set-up, sits lower to the ground and gets tweaks to the cosmetics to stand out. As the name suggests, the Polestar 2 BST Edition is limited to just 270 units globally with production to commence later in the year.
The BST Edition features an all-wheel-drive layout with the electric motors developing a combined 469 bhp and 680 Nm – similar figures became available on the all-wheel-drive 2 as part of an over-the-air update. The BST though gets new two-way adjustable Ohlins dampers, stiffer springs, and a new front strut bar. The model itself sits 25mm lower to the ground than the regular 2. The BST Edition also sits on bespoke 21-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tyres.
BST Edition gets new Ohlins two-way adjustable shocks; black stripe is an option.
The BST Edition uses the same 78kWh battery as the regular Polestar 2.
On the cosmetic front, the black finished lower body elements of the standard Polestar 2 are now finished in body colour while buyers have the option of adding on a black stripe running the length of car for an additional cost. Other smaller detailing bits unique to the BST Edition include gold-finished brake callipers, tyre valve caps and seatbelts – a hark back to some Polestar Engineered Volvo models prior to Polestar going standalone. The special edition is available solely in grey or white with a ‘charcoal weavetech' interior.
Gold detailing exclusive to the BST Edition, harks back to the days of Polestar being a sub-brand of Volvo.
The special edition Polestar 2 will solely be available in the US and European markets.
