Mahindra XUV800
The Mahindra XUV800 is likely to be the electric derivative of the brand's flagship SUV- the XUV700. The electric SUV is likely to be similar to the ICE variant albeit with few design changes going with its EV status. It is expected to use the same basic layout, same silhouette and same three row seating configuration. Speaking of its mechanicals, the battery pack could be upward of 80kWh in capacity, and it will come with one or two permanent-magnet brushless motors for 2 wheel drive (2WD) or 4 wheel drive (4WD) setup and power outputs ranging from 150 bhp to 310 bhp.
Mahindra XUV900
Remember the Mahindra XUV500 Aero Coupe concept we saw at Auto Expo 2016? Well now Mahindra is gearing up give the same body style treatment to the XUV700 giving it a Coupe SUV design and offer it first in an electric avatar. The Mahindra XUV900 is expected to be that electric SUV. The SUV will look quite similar to the current XUV700 until the B-Pillar, beyond which it'll boast a tapering roof design and a redesigned rear end. Quite obviously, it will have a five-seat layout.
Mahindra Midsize Coupe e-SUV
Going by the latest teaser, Mahindra is also likely to unveil a new midsize coupe SUV which is likely to be under 4.4 metres in length. This SUV is expected to be the Tata Curvv rival which is likely to go on sale in 2024 and we expect Mahindra to introduce its production version around the same time as well.
Mahindra Midsize e-SUV
Now this will essentially be a conventional body-styled version of Mahindra's midsize coupe SUV and will be quite similar to the Jeep Compass in terms of dimensions. The electric SUV will likely have the same mechanicals as the midsize coupe SUV, but will likely offer more spacious cabin and luggage area.
Mahindra XUV400
First introduced as the Mahindra eXUV300 concept at Auto Expo 2020, the Mahindra XUV400 will essentially be the electric version of the Mahindra XUV300. Mahindra has confirmed that it will be debuting the new XUV400 electric SUV in India in September this year and it has already been spotted testing on our roads. The XUV400 shares the same platform as the XUV300 though is expected to measure in at a little over 4m in length as compared to the latter's sub 4m length. Coming to its powertrain, it is likely to belt out 130 bhp from a single electric motor paired with a 40kWh battery and a range of up to 300 km.
