Manasi Tata - Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and Executive Director of Kirloskar Systems, has been appointed as a board member of Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM). Manasi Tata, daughter of Vikram Kirloskar, Chairman & Managing Director of Kirloskar Systems is also the Director in Kirloskar Technologies Limited. She was appointed the first Young Business Champion by United Nations in India for sustainable development goals. She is also a trained painter and runs her own non-profit venture - Caring with Colour.

Announcing the appointment of Manasi Tata as a member of the Board of Directors at Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited, Vikram Kirloskar, Chairman & Managing Director of Kirloskar Systems said, "It reflects the strong relationship and the continuance of the close bond between Toyota Group and the Kirloskar Systems Limited. Since its inception in 1997, the joint venture between the two companies has been making rapid strides for over twenty years and that he looks forward to its continued success in the years ahead."

Toyota sold a total of 8,801 units in the domestic market, thereby registering a growth of 128 per cent.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited is an Indian joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation and Kirloskar Group for the manufacture and sales of Toyota cars in India. Toyota Motor Corporation holds 89 per cent share in the partnership while Kirloskar Group accounts for the remaining 11 per cent. Last month, the company sold a total of 8,801 units in the domestic market, thereby registering a growth of 128 per cent when compared to the domestic sales in the month of June 2020. That said, the growth is primarily attributed to a low base last year as most of the country was still under lockdown in June 2020 and only certain markets were partially open.
