Maserati To Build New Sports Car At Its Modena Plant In Italy

Maserati today announced that its plant in Modena will be dedicated to the manufacturing of special high performance, high technology sports cars, in line with the tradition and values of the Brand, which has been present in Modena since 1939. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles plans to spend more than 5 billion euros ($5.7 billion) on new models and engines in Italy over the next three years to try to make better use of factories and boost jobs and margins.
While FCA's Cassino plant will produce a medium-size Maserati SUV based on the Alfa Stelvio, the Ghibli, Quattroporte sedans and the Levante SUV are built in two plants in Turin.
