Mysterious Places In India To Visit In 2022

If you are bored of water sports on beaches and trekking on hills, we have just the perfect suggestions to gleam up the travel buff in you. Well, India has its fair share of mysterious yet relatively unchartered locations. So, what say? Let's take a look at a few Indian places full of marvels and mysteries!
Bhangarh Fort, Rajasthan
Do you know that the Archaeological Survey of India has placed a notice board forbidding visitors from entering the fort after sunset? The lingering facts about Bhangarh Fort certainly make it one of India's most mysterious places. None of the fort's structures have roofs left. Some people consider the fort as a curse.

The Abandoned Village of Kuldhara, Rajasthan
This village was once home to 1500+ Paliwal Brahmans inhabiting there for five centuries. Suddenly one night, Kuldhara abandoned its town consisting of 85 people. The folklore also suggests that the village people cursed the land, making it hostile for future settlements. To date, people have not been able to explain what happened 200 years ago.

Lonar Crater Lake
The Lonar village was impacted by a meteor crash several years back. This meteor impact site is the only hyper-velocity impact crater in basaltic rock worldwide. Moreover, the site has become a mystery for many reasons through these years. The lake is both alkaline and saline, which is a rarity. Also, one fine day the lake suddenly changed its colour!

Kodinhi Village, Kerala
Not all India's mysterious spots are about cursed lands and supernatural experiences. One of Indian's biggest curiosities lies in the Kodhini Village in Kerala. The strange thing about this village is that it is home to more than 400 twins. About three generations ago, the Kodinhi village women mostly started giving birth to identical twins. There is no explanation for this odd situation.

Jatinga, Assam
Jatinga seems to be the magnetic death pole for thousands and thousands of birds. The strip of land is like Bermuda Triangle for birds. Every year post monsoon in October, the birds in the area seem to get agitated and disoriented from 6:00 to 9:30 pm on moonless nights. What's strange is that the group of birds includes all sorts of migratory fliers.
Magnetic Hill Ladakh
The Magnetic Hill in Ladakh is legendary and mysterious in equal proportions. It seems like the laws of gravity are applicable everywhere but here. If you park your car on this location, it might start driving uphill by itself. Some people define this phenomenon as a result of a strong magnetic field. On the other hand, some people claim it is a mere illusion.
