New Hyundai Elite i20 Launched; Prices Start at Rs 4.89 Lakh

The much awaited Hyundai Elite i20 is finally here for a starting price of Rs 4.89 lakh, while the top-of-the-line variant costs Rs 7.67 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Available in two engine options - a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel, the new-generation model of the premium hatchback is being offered in five variants, namely, Era, Magna, Sportz, Sportz (O) and Asta.
Built on Hyundai's 'Fluidic Sculpture 2.0' design philosophy, the Elite i20 looks absolutely different from the old model. The front fascia of the car has Hyundai's new signature hexagonal grille and a new thin horizontal strip that meets the head-lamps. The rear profile also looks completely different, thanks to the 'boomerang' shaped tail-lights, and new wrap-around windows among other changes. Not to forget the side profile with the dark treatment of the C-pillar, which gives the car an attractive side profile too.

The cabin has been refurbished too. First things first, with an extended wheelbase, the Elite i20 is more spacious than before. It also gets a new 3-spoke steering wheel instead of the 4-spoke steering found in the old model. Other features include a dual-tone dashboard, double-DIN audio player, climate control, rear AC vents, touch-screen music system, push start-stop button, four airbags, ABS with EBD and a few more. However, one must note that many of the aforementioned features are available on the mid and top variants of the car.
