New Tata Sierra World Premiere Tomorrow: What To Expect

- Tata Sierra was first launched in 1991
- New-gen model is getting launched on November 25
- Key details about the SUV are expected tomorrow at brand day
The iconic SUV nameplate from Tata Motors, Sierra is set for return in the Indian market. Before the new-gen of the Sierra is launched on November 25, the brand is doing a special preview or brand day of the SUV where it is expected to reveal key details about the design, features as well as drivetrain. Tata Motors has been dropping teasers over the last few weeks that reveal more information about the SUV. So here’s what we know so far and what to expect from the new Tata Sierra.
Design has been a focus of attention on the new Sierra ever since the SUV was first shown in a near-production form at the Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year. In fact the production spec looks quite similar to the Sierra concept shown at the Auto Expo a few years ago. Attributes like boxy silhouette, full-width LED lighting, and two-tone finish have been retained on the SUV. A keyless door sensor on the flush-fitting door handles, reworked wheel arches and new alloy wheels design is something we can look forward to. The rear is expected to feature a connected light bar stretching across the tailgate.

Based on the teaser, the Sierra will become the first ICE car in the country to come with a triple screen setup in the first row. Illuminated Tata logo is in the centre of the four-spoke steering wheel and you can expect a feature loaded cabin which includes features like ventilated seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and an electronic parking brake. For safety the SUV is likely to get six airbags as standard, Level 2 ADAS and yes watch out for the Bharat NCAP safety rating.
Like the Curvv and Nexon even the Sierra is expected to come with both Petrol and Diesel engine options. Tata Motors could share more details about its Hyperion 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that is expected to do its duty on the SUV. Diesel engine is expected to be the same 2.0-litre turbo which powers the Safari and Harrier. Both manual and automatic transmission options are expected to be available. The brand is also getting ready to launch the Sierra EV in the near future and could reveal more details about its powertrain during this unveil
