NOC For Car: No Objection Certificate - How To Apply Online And Check Status?

If you need a NOC certificate, you have to approach the RTO or the bank to fulfil your car's plans. We now have a dedicated online website that makes the NOC application process easy, thanks to the government. Moreover, several banks have also taken the NOC application process online.

Why Do You Need NOC?
There are many situations where you'll need a NOC for your vehicle. For example, if you change your state of residence, you'll need this document. The NOC also clarifies that you have no obligation or dues to the agencies and have repaid the loan and charges.
Below, we have mentioned all the situations where NOC is essential:
- When the car owner decides to sell the automobile, they must obtain a NOC from the RTO.
- NOC is also necessary to eradicate the hypothecation of your vehicle with the bank.
- You'll require a NOC for making colour modifications to your car.
- The Motor Vehicles Act also makes it mandatory to procure a NOC if you transfer your car to another state.
How to Apply for NOC Online?
You can use the Parivahan Seva website to apply for the NOC from the RTO. However, you should know that you cannot obtain the NOC online. Here's the complete process of applying for car NOC online:
- Open the Parivahan Seva website and select your respective RTO. Next, look for the ‘Log on to Avail Services' page and click on it.
- Choose ‘Application for No Objection Certificate'
- On the next page, enter the details required.
- Click on ‘Validate Registration Number/Chassis Number'
- Then, enter your registered mobile number and generate an OTP. Click on ‘Show Detail'
- The website will generate an application form. Cross-check the data on the application form.
- If the application does not contain car insurance details, make sure to add them.
- Enter the new RTO code and click on save.
- You have to pay a sum for procuring the fees. Do not forget to take out a printout of the payment receipt.
- Finally, go to your respective RTO with the required documents and fee receipt to complete the remaining process.

Documents Required to Procure NOC
Here's a list of documents that you'll need to upload on the Parivahan Seva website to complete the process:
- Signature identification of the vehicle owner
- Pencil print of the engine number and chassis number
- Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC)
- Application (Form 28)
- Valid document stating up-to-date paid road tax receipt
- Certified photocopy of vehicle's insurance policy
- Certified photocopy of vehicle's registration certificate
