Ola Electric To Roll Out MoveOS 3 By Diwali

- MoveOS 3 to become available over the air around Diwali
- Will add new features including hypercharging, profiles, improved regen and more
- Will be Ola Electric's second OS update for 2022
Ola Electric is set to roll out another software update for its electric scooter by Diwali. The new MoveOS 3 will unlock more features for the firm’s offering including digital key sharing, proximity unlock, profiles, hypercharging and a voice assistant.
The announcement was part of the company’s Independence Day press event where Ola Electric launched the standard Ola S1 scooter and revealed details on the company’s planned expansion into battery manufacturing and electric four-wheelers.

Hypercharging should be a welcome addition allowing owners to charge their scooters faster at designated charging stations located in multiple cities. Ola Electric is also set to expand the company’s Hypercharger network with 100 more stations opening across 50 cities. While the S1 Pro has a charging time of about 6.5 hours for a full charge, fast charging will add about 75 km of range in as little as 18 minutes.
The new MoveOS 3 will be made available on both the Ola Electric S1 and S1 Pro though some of the features made available are likely to be exclusive to the more expensive Pro. While Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal only briefly listed some features, a closer look at the live stream revealed a number of other features planned for the scooters. Aside from the features mentioned above the MoveOS3 is also expected to add in features such as a Party Mode, on-board document storage, Improved regeneration function and even a calling feature.
