Porsche has taken the wraps off the more powerful Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS which will sit at the top of the range of cars. Porsche has finally made the news official, after a string of media sites put up spy shots of the cars.
Both the cars will continue to get the same 3.4-liter flat six-cylinder engine, but the only difference now is that there is another 15bhp extracted out of it. So the Boxster GTS now punches out 330 bhp and the Cayman GTS packs in a punch with 340bhp.
The torque figure too sees a change and the Boxster GTS gets 370Nm while the figure in the Cayman GTS in 380Nm. Both the cars get the Sport Chrono package as standard.
Fitted with the optional PDK, the 2014 Porsche Boxster GTS will sprint to 100km/h in 4.7 seconds and is 0.1s slower than the Cayman GTS. The Boxster GTS comes equipped with the manual six-speed transmission and hits a top speed of 281 km/h whereas its fixed roof sibling tops out at 285km/h
Porsche's Active Suspension Management (PASM) comes as standard on both the cars while they get the blackened bi-xenon headlamps alongwith updated front and rear bumpers. Inside the cabin they both feature sports seats and leather upholstery with Alcantara trim.
