Prototype Lamborghini Aventador With Performante Styling Spied

- New hardcore Lamborghini Aventador will feature ALA
- ALA or Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva features on Huracan Performante
- This Aventador could beat Porsche the 911 GT2 RS Nurburgring lap record
A prototype Lamborghini Aventador with styling influenced from the Lamborghini Huracan Performante has been spied recently. Although Lamborghini launched the Aventador S recently with the likes of upgraded brakes, rear wheel steering and even more power, this new V12 powered beast seems to have gone in the direction of extreme aero as compared to more power. The hardcore Aventador will also possibly be the last iteration of the supercar with a new V12 Lambo expected to make a debut in the next couple of years. Although the last iteration of all Lamborghini V12s have always been called the SV, this time around, the Italian automaker might use a new nomenclature as they have already used the SV moniker earlier as the last version of the pre-facelift version.

This is the first time the exhaust placement and the aero have been spied in such detail showcasing the Aventador's move towards the Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva or ALA setup which includes active aerodynamics across the car to increase downforce. This includes flaps in the front and rear bumper along with active flaps across the underbody. Although the spy images don't show a fixed wing, there are chances of the new Aventador getting a fixed wing like the Performante does. The Aventador prototype also seems to be hiding a new engine cover that might aid air flow and direct air towards the wing.

Apart from changes to the body and the more aggressive styling, Lamborghini is guaranteed to increase power on the new variant from 740 bhp to atleast 770 bhp, which incidentally is also the spec on the bonkers Centenario. Although heavier, this Lambo could possibly lap the legendary Nurburgring faster than anything else ever had even beating the smaller and lighter Huracan Performante and the current ring record holder, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. Expect Lamborghini to showcase the car next year at the Geneva Auto Show and an India launch a few weeks later.
