Skoda Registers Best-Ever Half-Yearly Sales In H1 2025

- Skoda India sold 36,194 units in H1 2025.
- The company’s half-yearly sales grew by 134 per cent over last year.
- Skoda will soon launch the Superb in India.
Skoda Auto India has just announced that it has registered its best-ever half-yearly sales figures yet, since it began operations in India 25 years ago. The company sold 36,194 units between January and June 2025, registering a significant 134 per cent growth over the same time period in 2024. Part of the reason for the growth will likely be the relatively higher demand for the company’s newer products. These include the Kylaq, now the company’s most affordable offering, and the Kodiaq SUV, which went on sale in India a few months ago.

The new Kodiaq was launched in India by Skoda earlier this year
Commenting on the achievement, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said, “Our landmark half-yearly sales reflect the strong acceptance of Škoda products and services by customers in India. Our customers love to explore the world around them every day. With the addition of the Kylaq in our portfolio, we now enable their journeys even more through an ‘SUV For Everyone’, as well as our sedan offering. Our aim is to get ‘closer’ to our customers in India with our accessible products, services, and touchpoints across the country.”

Skoda is expected to launch the Octavia RS later this year
Skoda Auto is now expected to launch the new Octavia RS in India later this year. Showcased at this year’s Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the 2025 Skoda Octavia RS is likely to be offered in India as a completely built unit (CBU), likely in limited numbers or batches, just like the Volkswagen Golf GTI. Furthermore, the launch of the Superb is also expected to take place sometime later this year. It is speculated that the engine powering the Superb will be the 2.0-litre TDI turbo-diesel engine that is offered in multiple states of tune in the Superb in global markets. A turbo-petrol engine option is expected to arrive at a later date.
