Suzuki To Launch A New 150 cc Cruiser Next Month

- The 150 cc cruiser bike will mostly use Gixxer's engine
- The exact specifications and features are yet to be revealed
- The bike will be launched on 7 November 2017 in India
Suzuki Motor India Pvt Ltd is all set to launch a 150 cc cruiser in India on 7 November 2017. Suzuki is clearly a company which likes to do things differently. The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer chose a rather unique segment in which to launch its next two-wheeler offering. Currently, the only 150 cc cruiser motorcycle in India is the Bajaj Avenger, which sells around 9,000 units a month. As seen in the pictures, the 150 cc cruiser from Suzuki will have a typical cruiser design such as tall handlebars, relaxed seating position and oodles of chrome. Internationally, Suzuki offers a GZ series of cruiser bikes which include a 125 cc and a 250 cc variant. Whether Suzuki will go the retro way or give a modern look to the cruiser, remains to be seen.
(Suzuki will be launching a 150 cc cruiser motorcycle on 7 November 2017)The 150 cc cruiser will use the Gixxer's 155 cc engine most probably. The state of tune might be different, with respect to relaxed riding characteristics. The gearbox will be a 5-speed unit, the same as the one on the Gixxer. The exact specifications and features are yet to be disclosed by Suzuki. We are keen on riding the bike to see how the 155 cc engine performs on a cruiser motorcycle. Expect the weight to go up by a bit on the 150 cc cruiser as well.
Suzuki India has a limited product portfolio as far as mass market two-wheelers are concerned. In addition to the Gixxer, the company offers two scooters in the Lets and the Access 125, the Hayate EP and the Gixxer SF.
