The much-awaited Toyota Glanza has been launched in India today, at an introductory price of Rs. 7.22 lakh, going up to Rs. 8.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Glanza is the first premium hatchback to be launched by Toyota Kirloskar Motors in India, and it will primarily be offered in two variants - G and V, in four different iterations depending on the engine and transmission (G MT, V MT, G CVT, and V CVT). In fact, both the variants are based on the top two trims of the Baleno, Zeta and Alpha. The first product to come out of the Suzuki-Toyota partnership, the Toyota Glanza is essentially a re-badged version of the existing 2019 Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and in terms of design, features and mechanicals, both the cars are exactly the same. The only change is the Toyota badging on the grille, wheels and tailgate.
