Triumph Motorcycles' Global Revenue Grows By 22.3 Per Cent


- Triumph had a good year in 2017
- The company sold 63,404 units in the year ended June 2017
- 86.1 % of Triumph bikes are sold in overseas market
Triumph recently announced its financial results for the year ending 30 June 2017. The company's global revenues grew from £407.7 million last year to £498.9 million this year, which is a growth of £90.9 million and in terms of percentage, it is 22.3 per cent. The company also managed to increase the number of motorcycles sold from 56,253 units in 2016 to 63,404 units in 2017, which is an increase of 7,151 units and 12.71 per cent. Triumph says that it is happy with the growth despite trying economic and currency situations such as Brexit.

In the last one year, Triumph went from strength to strength, introducing new motorcycles such as the Bonneville Bobber, the new gen-Street Triple and it will soon be launching the new Speedmaster along with the 2018 Tiger 1200 and the Tiger 800. From an India perspective, Triumph has sold over 4,500 units since it started operations in India in 2013 and is an important emerging market for the company as well.

Along with new products and research and development, Triumph also inaugurated its Factory Visitor Experience at its facility in Hinckley, UK. The factory visitor experience includes the Triumph museum tour and the Triumph plant tour.
