VinFast To Introduce GSM Fleet Service In India; Limo Green Line-Up For Cabs To Be Launched

VinFast has confirmed the arrival of its third product for India. Called the MPV 7, the electric, seven-seater, people mover will be launched in India on April 15. Along the lines of the new arrival, VinFast India has also confirmed their new business venture, which focuses on fleet cabs and ride-hailing. Part of Vin Group, the GSM (Green and Smart Mobility) Service will be established in India, which will have separate investment and division for India operations.

Established in 2023, GSM claims to be the world's first green transportation rental and multi-platform taxi company. The GSM fleet runs on separate ‘Limo Green’ versions of the VinFast product portfolio, and it's already operational in countries like Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and the Philippines. For India, the Limo Green version of the MPV7 will be available upon launch. Depending on the demands and interest they will receive, VinFast will consider the fleet size, investment, and cities where the GSM will be operational in the country. The Limo Green versions of the VinFast products under the GSM portfolio have a trademark “Nerio Green” colour scheme to make them recognisable, and they miss out on a few features to keep the cost competitive.

More information regarding exact figures for the investment, timeline for the operations, and which cities/states will be the first ones to pilot this program in India will be revealed in the coming few months. Whether or not the Limo Green versions of the VF6 and VF7 will be offered under the GSM service remains to be seen.
