2017 Honda Brio VX AT
Undeniably, the Honda Brio was one of the smartest looking city commuters in the Indian market at its time. It boasted of compelling looks, sprightly motor, and stylish interiors, all for under Rs. 5 lakh, apart from the fact that it could zip through traffic thanks to its compact dimensions, the convenience of an automatic gearbox, and a fuel-efficient motor. However, it failed to ring the cash register and was discontinued in 2019, since its humble beginnings started in 2011.

The Hyundai Grand i10 is one of the most popular compact hatchbacks in India that has been in our market since 2013. It is quite spacious and can seat four adults with ease. It also received a decent number of features like LED DRLs, alloy wheels, a touchscreen infotainment system, and more, apart from the fact that Hyundai offered it with petrol and diesel powertrains and in both manual and automatic gearbox options.
