Inside it receives Recaro racing seats, Schroth harnesses and carbon fibre trim. Under the hood, just like the standard model, the DTM safety car comes equipped with a 3.0-litre TwinPower turbo six-cylinder engine that develops 429bhp and 550 Nm of torque.
Mated to an M double-clutch transmission the M4 safety car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds.
