Made in India Jaguar XJ 2.0L Petrol Launched


Jaguar, the British luxury carmaker, that launched the XJ 3.0L Diesel LWB in May this year, has today rolled out the locally manufactured XJ 2.0 Petrol LWB at Rs 93.24 Lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai; Pre-Octroi).
Powering the XJ 2.0L is a 2.0-litre turbocharged, six cylinder petrol unit that is capable of churning out 237bhp and 340Nm of peak torque. The engine with advanced low-inertia, high pressure direct fuel injection an twin variable valve timing, is claimed to provde an impressive turbocharging drivability with strong low RPM performance and a broad 'torque rich power band'.
Mr Rohit Suri, Vice President, Jaguar Land Rover, India said, "We are excited to introduce the locally manufactured Jaguar with a 2.0L petrol engine, a first in its segment, at an attractive price point. The recently launched XJ 3.0L Diesel received an overwhelming response from customers across India. The introduction of the all-new 2.0L petrol engine is keeping in mind our endeavour to broaden the appeal of this fabulous car to customers who are more inclined towards driving a car with a powerful petrol engine at its heart."
