Skoda Reveals the CitiJet City-Cabriolet Concept

We told you about the Skoda apprentices creating a one-off cabriolet called the Citijet and the company was to bring the car at the GTI event at Worthersee. Skoda showed off a sketch earlier and now here it is in the flesh.
It has taken 6 months in the making and 16 apprentices to come out with a car that is meant for urban transport. Supported by Skoda Head Designer Jozef Kaban, his team and Skoda production, the 16 apprentices got a free hand in designing the car.
Based on the Citigo, the CitiJet is city-convertible and gets distinctive metallic paintwork in blue/white and racy, blue 16-inch alloy wheels. It also features a hand-made rear spoiler as well as an exhaust with two tailpipes. A 1.0 MPI petrol engine churning 75bhp makes its way under the bonnet of the vehicle.
The interior is pretty much similar to the Citigo and includes red-stitched, leather-lined three-spoke steering wheel as well as the leather cover of the handbrake handle and gear knob. The seat covers and floor mats have a 'Sport' material design. The dashboard is painted white/red. A 300 watt sound system is also fitted. The interior has music-reactive LED lighting.
Jozef Kaban, Skoda Head Designer, said, "Our apprentices have put their hearts and souls into this vehicle. Every little detail, no matter how small, was discussed, agreed upon and put into practice by the team. It was a real team effort. The outcome: a unique and emotional car, of which everybody involved should be very proud of,"
