The New Land Rover Discovery Sport's Production Plans Revealed

The next product from Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover will be the Discovery Sport, said the company in a statement. The proposed SUV will be the first member of the company's all-new Land Rover Discovery family. JLR has also announced an investment of 200 million pounds at its Halewood plant in the UK, where the SUV will be built.
Commenting on this, Jaguar Land Rover CEO Ralf Speth said: "The Land Rover Discovery Sport is the next in a line of exciting new products to come from Jaguar Land Rover.I am delighted that Halewood and Liverpool has been selected for this new investment."
Set to go on sale in 2014, the new Land Rover Discovery Sport has taken its inspiration from the Discovery Vision Concept, which was earlier showcased at the New York International Auto Show.
The Halewood based plant already develops the company's popular compact SUV Range Rover Evoque, the fresh investment is to support introduction of the Discovery Sport.
