2015 Chevrolet Captiva Launched in India at Rs 25.13 Lakh

General Motors India, today, rolled out the 2015 Chevrolet Captiva in the Indian market. Just like the old model, the new model too has a 4x2 manual and 4x4 automatic versions, priced at Rs 25.13 lakh and Rs 27.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The vehicle continues to feature the same old 2.2-litre diesel engine that is good for 187bhp at 3,800rpm and 400Nm at 2000rpm. The engine transmissions on offer are a 6-speed automatic and a 6-speed manual transmission.
Talking about the changes, the 2015 models gets new Cluster Ionizer which generates ions to purify and deodorize cabin interiors and new instrument cluster for improved visibility.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Arvind Saxena, President and Managing Director, General Motors India, said: "The launch of the all new MY 15 Captiva is in line with our business plan of capturing the all important SUV market and growing our market share. The Captiva has been warmly welcomed in markets around the world due to its combination of distinctive styling, refinement, best-in-class safety, comfort and versatility and powerful yet frugal diesel powertrain. In India, it has created a niche for itself in the premium SUV segment. The Captiva offers what our customers across India have started associating with".
He further added, "The Captiva is all about economical, refined and power-packed diesel performance combined with spacious luxury and fantastic road presence. When you add it all up, the Chevrolet Captiva offers everything any discerning Indian car buyer could want in the premium SUV space - and most importantly, at a price point that represents un-matched value for money".
