2015 Volkswagen Vento Facelift to Return Better Mileage

In a bid to increase its market share in the highly competitive Indian market, Volkswagen India is planning to launch at least 5 new cars in the next 24 months. The first one to enter our market will be the Volkswagen Vento 2015 facelift, which will most probably go on sale next month. The company has made quite a few cosmetic changes to the car, besides adding some more features. That said, the most important update will be the increment in the fuel efficiency figures, for which the company has tuned all three engines - 1.2-litre TSI, 1.6-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TDI. The company claims that the new model will return up to 7.5 per cent more mileage than before. This will help the company counter its closest rivals - Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz - that return around 26km/l.
When it comes to the exterior changes, the vehicle gets a new front fascia with a revised hood, a triple-slat chrome grille, new bumper with a chrome strip, new fog-lamps, etc. The rear profile, too, looks refreshed with the chrome treatment on the new bumper, exhaust tip and lid. The car's tail-lamps too have been revised.

Coming to the features, the 2015 Volkswagen Vento will get a chilled glovebox, a dead-pedal, cruise control, electrically-operated outside rear-view mirrors with LED turn signals and a few other features. In addition to these features, the company will also offer two new interior colour schemes - Walnut Desert Beige (with Highline) and Cloud Titanschwarz (With Trendline and Comfortline).
Since it's just a mid-life facelift, there is no change in the power output figures of all three engines.
