2017 Mercedes-Benz CLA Facelift India Launch Date Revealed

- The 2017 CLA gets subtle changes to the exterior and interior
- The Mercedes CLA facelift made its debut at the 2016 New York Auto Show
- The CLA competes with the Audi A3, Skoda Superb, Toyota Camry
The CLA sedan turned out to be a highly appreciated model for Mercedes-Benz India and the German auto giant is now all set to introduce the facelifted version later this month. The automaker has confirmed that the 2017 CLA facelift will be launched in India on November 30. Locally assembled at the Chakan facility, the updated CLA will be company's 12th and final launch for 2016 and features subtle upgrades.

The 2017 CLA Facelift gets AMG inspired alloy wheels
The 2017 Mercedes-Benz CLA made its debut at the New York International Auto Show earlier this year and gets subtle changes to the styling to introduce a fresh new look. The flamboyant styling remain intact on the model, but you do get tweaked headlamps with smoked treatment and now get full-LED lights. The bumper has been reworked and comes with larger air intakes, while the diamond grille is now offered as standard. At the rear, the 2017 CLA gets a revised bumper with an integrated flush, while the 5-spoke alloy wheels have been replaced with multi-spoke ones, similar to their AMG counterpart.

The interior gets subtle changes and a larger infotainment screen
Inside, the Mercedes-Benz CLA facelift gets an updated instrument cluster with red needles and new upholstery, while the biggest change of all is the larger 8-inch infotainment system that now comes equipped with Apple CarPlay, in addition to Mercedes' COMAND system. Other details remain the same and the sedan continues to draw power from the same 2.0-litre petrol motor that churns out 181bhp of power and 300Nm of torque. Diesel power comes from the 2.1-litre four-cylinder motor tuned to produce 134bhp and 300Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels using the 7-speed automatic gearbox.

Expect prices to see a marginal hike on the 2017 CLA facelift
Expect to see a marginal hike in prices for the Mercedes CLA facelift when it arrives in the country. More details on the model and prices will only be available at the time of launch. The CLA locks horns with the Audi A3, Toyota Camry, Skoda Superb and the likes in the segment. Make sure to keep watching this space for complete updates.
