2019 Audi A6 Teased Ahead Of Debut

Ever since Audi teased the A6 last year, we've been waiting patiently for the next-generation to come to the public domain. While Audi has not officially announced when it plans to unveil the next-generation A6, we expect it could happen as soon as next month at either the Geneva Motor Show or the New York Motor Show at the end of March, but the new teaser video sure hints it could happen soon. Although the teaser does not reveal much of the new A6, we do spot a few interesting bits, as the design seems inspired from both its elder siblings, the A7 and new A8.

Up front, the Audi A6 is inspired heavily from the new A8 and the A7 with the signature chrome grille and new headlamps respectively. While it is difficult to make assumptions, we do expect the next-generation Audi A6 to retain the tail lights and much of its design from its predecessor. However, the inside of the A6 is the most interesting bit, as Audi has gone for a fully digital gauge cluster under the dash cowl. Reports also suggest that the A6 will also receive Audi's Traffic Jam Pilot system which will allow it to go semi-autonomous at speeds of up to 60kmph.
Under the hood, the next-generate Audi A6 will come with both petrol and diesel engine options. While it is still unclear if the A6 will continue with the same powertrains, reports suggest that it would get a wide range of four- and six-cylinder turbocharged diesel and petrol engines depending on the market. It is expect to make its India debut sometime next year though.
