2020 Ducati Monster 1200 S To Sport New 'Black On Black' Livery

- New Ducati Monster 1200 introduced in 'Black on Black' colour scheme
- No mechanical updates to 2020 Ducati Monster 1200
- Ducati Monster 1200 not listed for sale in India, available only on order
Ducati has unveiled the 2020 version of the most powerful model in the Ducati Monster range, the Ducati Monster 1200. But the only thing new on the 2020 model is the colour scheme. The 'Black on Black' colour scheme is a combination of matte black and gloss black, and some red accents, particularly the striking red accent on the wheels. For purists who feel that a Ducati Monster should only be red, the Monster 1200 will continue to be available in Ducati red. The all-black 2020 Ducati Monster 1200 will be more expensive than the standard red Monster 1200 and will be available across dealerships in Europe by the end of September.

The all-black 2020 Ducati Monster 1200 only gets cosmetic updates
The 2020 Ducati Monster 1200 is powered by the same 1198 cc, liquid-cooled, v-twin engine which produces 145 bhp at 9,250 rpm and gets electronic rider aids like cornering ABS, traction control and anti-wheelie control. The S comes with fully-adjustable Ohlins suspension, with a 48 mm front fork and rear monoshock. Braking is provided by twin 330 mm Brembo discs on the front wheel, gripped by Brembo M50 monobloc calipers. The 2020 Monster 1200 S also gets alloy wheels with three y-spokes, a carbon fibre mudguard, a headlight characterised by a daytime running light and LED indicators. Standard equipment also includes an up and down quickshifter.

Ducati India not likely to offer the 2020 Monster 1200 on sale in India
So far, there is no word on if and when the new 2020 Ducati Monster 1200 will be available on sale in India, or if at all Ducati India plans to introduce the new 'Black on Black' version of the most powerful Monster. Right now, only the entry-level Monster 797 and the Monster 821 are offered on sale in India. The Monster 1200 is available only on special orders and will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU) from Italy. Ducati India offers prices for the Monster 1200 only on request and orders.
