The new SmartPlay Pro Plus system will get a new interface and sharper graphics.
Maruti Suzuki has designed a standalone and bigger SmartPlay Pro touchscreen unit for the new Baleno. Going with what we saw in the teaser video, the new touchscreen will get an all-new interface featuring much sharper and crisper graphics. It is also expected to get connected car features along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and we expect Maruti to also offer in-built navigation system in the new SmartPlay Pro Plus. Moreover, also expect the new Baleno to get a premium sound system for an immersive sound experience, as shown in the new teaser. We also expect new Maruti models like the next-gen Vitara Brezza and the new compact SUV among others to come equipped with the same 9-inch SmartPlay Pro Plus infotainment touchscreen.

Essentially, the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno is an extensively upgraded version rather than a new-gen model as the platform and engine remain the same. The new 2022 Baleno is expected to come with a heavily updated cabin as well, possibly featuring an updated instrument console and more upmarket fit and finish. Expect creature comforts like automatic headlamps and auto climate control among others. That said, what we know for sure is that the cabin will come with a segment-first Heads-Up Display (HUD) unit.
