2023 Ducati Diavel V4 Revealed In Latest Spy Shots

- 2023 Ducati Diavel V4 to get Gran Turismo V4 engine from Multistrada V4
- New monocoque chassis to replace steel trellis frame
- Updated electronics, new TFT screen expected on Diavel V4
Ducati looks all set to introduce a new generation of its power cruiser, the 2022 Ducati Diavel, and the most significant change seems to be an upgrade to Ducati’s V4 engine in the new Diavel V4. This will be the first time that the Diavel will move away from the L-twin format, which has already been replaced in the flagship Panigale superbike, as well as the top-spec Multistrada V4.

The new Diavel V4 also will come with a new frame to accommodate the V4 engine. And the dead giveaway that the 2023 Diavel will get the V4 engine is the single piece exhaust with four mouths at the end of the side-mounted unit.

The V4 engine is set to replace the 1260 DVT Testastretta L-twin, and instead, the Gran Turismo 1,158 cc V4 engine taken from the Multistrada V4 is expected to power the next generation Diavel V4. In the Multistrada V4, the 1,158 cc V4 puts out 170 bhp at 10,500 rpm and 125 Nm of peak torque at 8,750 rpm, but considering the Diavel’s personality and character, the engine may be re-tuned to offer stronger low and mid-range grunt.
The Gran Turismo V4 1,158 cc of the Multistrada V4 is likely to be used in the Diavel V4, but with a slightly different state of tune.

We guess the Diavel V4 will be unveiled towards the end of the World Premiere series, with a date set for early November, which is also when the EICMA 2022 show kicks off in Milan.
