Auto Expo 2016: Hyundai to Showcase N 2025 Gran Turismo Concept

The Delhi Auto Expo has been one of the largest platforms for auto makers to present their upcoming cars and concepts. Being the largest motor show in Asia, it is the perfect setting for Hyundai to showcase the exceptional product of its high-performance 'N' sub-brand, the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo (GT). The concept will be the showstopper on display for Hyundai at the Auto Expo 2016.

Hyundai first unveiled the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show along with the new-generation i20 WRC and the RM15 concept. Offering a peek into the future of Hyundai's next-generation high-performance vehicles, the N 2025 Vision GT brings out the unique character of N performance sub-brand.

In terms of design, the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo concept has been built taking a lot of inspiration from the field of aeronautics and the way pilots and astronauts train. The trademark front hexagonal grille allows the air to flow in to the boat shaped underbody structure. At the same time the tube-like underflow air supply duct connected to the rear minimizes pressure to the underbody to produce maximum downforce, so it helps the car remain planted to the road.
As for its powertrain, the Hyundai N 2025 Vision GT comes with world's first mass-produced hydrogen fuel cell produced by Hyundai in 2013. The car's liquid hydrogen tank is made of carbon fibre that not only offers increased safety but also reduces weight, which keeps the entire weight of the car at 972 kg.

The powertrain produces a total power output of 871bhp, which practically makes the N 2025 the ultimate eco-friendly hypercar. While the dual fuel cell stacks provide 670bhp, the super capacitor system generates an additional 201bhp by using energy regenerated when braking. The drivetrain consists of four high-powered independent in-wheel motors, which provide uncompromised traction. Moreover, the optimal weight distribution, low center of gravity and IIDC (Independent In-wheel motor Drive Control) makes this car an exceptional track focused machine.
