Benelli Working on a 750cc Naked Motorcycle

- The new 750cc bike might make use of Chinese components
- It might be assembled in Pesaro, Italy
- Benelli will reveal the bike towards the end of 2016
Italian motorcycle manufacturer Benelli is one company which is good at pulling a rabbit out of its hat. Reports suggest that it is working on a naked motorcycle, which it might reveal at the far end of 2016. The project has been code-named BJ750GS. Earlier, Benelli had used the code-name BJ500GS for developing the TRK502. Therefore, we believe that the bike in question will be getting a 750cc engine. Given that most Benelli bikes use a 3-cylinder engine, it should be safe to assume that this engine too will be a 3-pot motor. This particular engine has also been in use with bigger displacements of 898cc and 1,131cc in the Tornado, TNT and the Tre-K. As seen in the picture, the frame is not as the ones seen on the TNT 899 and the TNT R. You can read the review of the Benelli TNT 899 here.
Also, if Benelli is actually cutting down on the size of the engine, it might as well use cycle parts sourced from China, rather than going in for premium bits from Brembo and Marzocchi. The exhausts too, have moved from under the seat to the sides. From the looks of the bike, in all probability, it will take on the name of TNT family. Quite a bit of the bodywork is new and this bike gets a single radiator as compared to the twin radiators mounted on each side and a new instrumentation panel as well. The styling and the components used might change by the time the finished product is actually revealed. The final assembly might be carried out in Pesaro, Italy, like other Benellis. It might also be possible that Benelli offers the exact same bike in larger, existing engine capacities as well. We can make an educated guess and say that this motorcycle will be fairly affordable, compared to the present crop of Benelli motorcycles above 800cc.
