Highlights

Bugatti recently sold the 450th and final Veyron, which will go to a wealthy customer from the Middle East. The Veyron was first introduced in 2005, and went on to receive several special editions overs its decade-long lifecycle.

The last unit is a Grand Sport Vitesse and is appropriately called the 'La Finale'. It will be showcased next week in Geneva along with the first Veyron, which will be the only chance to see the two together. Though one might be quick to point out that it took the company a decade to sell 450 units, but let us not forget that the cost of each runs in to millions. So, 45 cars a year is not a bad deal at all.

The Bugatti Veyron is limited to 450 units: 300 long since sold-out coupés - the Veyron 16.4 delivering 1000bhp and the Veyron 16.4 Super Sport delivering 1183bhp - and 150 roadsters - the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport with 1000bhp and the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse with 1183bhp. The final roadster has now been sold.

Bugatti is obviously working on the Veyron successor, which will most likely be christened as the Chiron. From what we know, the Chiron will be capable of churning out 1500bhp along with a top-speed in the range of 460Km/h while the sprint from 0-100Km/h will take less than 2.5 seconds. Crazy but absolutely bang on! We might see the production version of the car this year.
