Citroen C3 Global Unveil Highlights: Specifications, Images, Features

Citroen is all set to unveil the brand's new made in India subcompact SUV today. Codenamed CC21, it will be the second product from the French carmaker in India and will be based on the company's heavily localised Common Modular Platform (CMP) especially developed for emerging markets like India and Brazil. In fact, it is part of the company's C-Cubed programme, under which Citroen India plans to launch four new products in India by 2023.

The teaser reveals a familiar yet sharp look on the upcoming Citroen CC21. The signature LED DRLs are definitely the highlight and reminiscent of the brand's international models. But barring that, there's not much known about the upcoming subcompact SUV. We do think it will be heavily influenced by the C3 Aircross in terms of visual cues. The spy images have revealed a distinctive split headlamp setup with a swept-back design along with the side air dam. Even the dimensions look almost identical and the curved design language is inevitable. A recently released teaser suggests the subcompact SUV will sport a signature chrome grille, and split headlamp setup. The SUV will also get a sculpted bonnet, sleek ORVMs, squarish-wheel arches, underbody cladding, LED taillamps, bumper cladding, alloy wheels and more.
Nothing about the new CC21 SUV's cabin has been revealed so far we have not even got a glimpse of the interior in the leaked spy photos of the car. Having said that, judging by the company design language and the globally sold C3 Aircross, we know the new SUV too will come with a well-laid-out cabin with premium fit a finish. It is also likely to get a dual-tone interior with premium fabric upholstery and a minimalist dashboard. In terms of features, we expect to see a flat-bottom steering wheel, a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a reverse parking camera and a range of active and passive safety features.
