Cricketer MS Dhoni Brings Home The 2019 TVS Apache RR 310

Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni is known for his love for motorcycles and has quite an envious collection of two wheels. In fact, Mahi's new home has a separate two storied building that houses all of his prized possessions. Now, adding a new motorcycle to his expansive collection, MS Dhoni recently took delivery of the 2019 TVS Apache RR 310. The updated Apache RR 310 was launched earlier this week at a price tag of Rs. 2.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and Dhoni is the first customer for the flagship TVS motorcycle.

The 2019 TVS Apache RR 310 gets several notable improvements of the older version. The bike comes equipped with a race tuned slipper clutch that aids in rapid gear shifting with low hand fatigue and improves vehicle stability during downshifts. The new system is also engineered with assist function that locks the clutch plates lightly that increases clutch engagement force and reduced clutch effort. The bike also gets minor styling improvements that includes the new Phantom Black colour scheme. Older Apache RR 310 models can get the new slipper clutch retro-fitted as well.
In terms of performance, the updated TVS Apache RR 310 continues to use the same 313 cc single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled, engine developed with BMW Motorrad and is tuned for 34 bhp at 9700 rpm and 27.3 Nm of peak torque at 7700 rpm. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. TVS says it has also also worked on the drive-ability, ride feel and reliability of the bike.
Dhoni is the brand ambassador for the TVS Star City and has had a long association with the company. His personal motorcycle collection has a a host of motorcycles ranging from a number of vintage BSAs, and Royal Enfields, to some rare offerings like the Confederate Hellcat X32, Ducati 1098, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R and even the Kawasaki Ninja H2.
